I had to end the year with a reflection on the past 12 months!! What a year it has been….a whirlwind. I am looking forward to a break now over Christmas with my family and switching off from all things work – for a day or 2 at least!!
I said at the beginning of the year that I would celebrate all of the little wins for my business I probably could do better at this – I usually move on to the next thing, the next goal so I’m going to take some time in this blog to highlight my highlights!!
Clean & Tidy Home Show
To speak at this show in London back in October was such a highlight. The whole team behind that show are amazing and this year they pulled off a fantastic show over 2 days. To catch up with my UK based organising pals was a bonus. I met these gorgeous ladies when I studied with Dilly Carter for my CPD in Professional Organising I would be lost without them – we speak almost daily and support each other – absolute legends! I also connected with some of the UK’s top organisers which has been invaluable. My talk went brilliantly I was definitely nervous but so glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone. The legend that is Marie Kondo spoke at the show and she was as amazing in real life.
The Organised Store event
What can I say about Olive, the fabulous owner of The Organised Store? She has been such a supporter of my business from the beginning so when I approached her with the idea of an event she was on board straight away and she put on an amazing evening with bubbles & goodie bags! The initial batch of tickets sold out in an hour so we added more capacity – and they sold out too!! Elaine Verdon from LEO+CICI joined me on the night to share her expertise and the feedback was so good – hoping we can run more events in person events in 2025.
IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year nomination
To say I was OVERWHELMED with the support and messages after news of the short list came through – it was honestly amazing and we had such a ball that night – to be in the same category as those amazing women and businesses in the Start Up category was a dream come true. Also being able to get glammed up for once and wearing a gorgeous rented gown from Happy Days was a treat – I’m usually head to toe in sports gear for work so it was a nice change!!! The only issue was there was no alcohol consumed as we had a HUGE client the next day.....
Clients
I am blessed with the best clients – so supportive and lots of whom I call friends now. Vogue got in touch with me in December last year as she was moving house in Dublin and needed help with setting up systems. So, the day after the IMAGE awards night was day 1 on her project – hence the zero alcohol. The project ran throughout the summer and into Autumn (both in Ireland and London). We’ve had great laughs – she is a dream client as she works at 100 miles an hour and is so decisive – she has been such a big supporter of my business and I look forward to working with her again in 2025.
There were so many other highlights – I was invited to tell my story on International Women’s Day for PWC, I was on the radio, in magazines, on a podcast, worked with some amazing brands and collaborated with other supportive Irish companies – all things I never would have imagined when I started out in 2022!!
But while all of those highlights are great and should be celebrated the overriding feeling I have from this year is pride. I am proud of the RESETS the day to day work with my clients – the changes myself and my team (we are a team of 4 now too – also a highlight working with such amazing women!!) are making in homes every day and the fact that every review mentions how we have made our clients feel in their homes and that systems are being maintained is the real highlight for me.
Thanks to all of our amazing clients and charity partners for your amazing support in 2024, look forward to working with lots of you again in 2025.
We have already some AMAZING plans for 2025 which I am bursting to share with you all.
